Does having different Firmware numbers mean anything...?

In my local Sprint store, their Arrive has a different firmware version than my phone. Is this because it is a display unit (it has a Windows Phone demo type interactive video thing) or is the version of Mango actually different on that phone"

My phone is 2305.13.40301.651
The store had 2305.13.40303.651

Lol I hope not...

I had Mango and decided to restore back to NoDo. After I had done that, my phone for some reason didn't want to upgrade to Mango; anytime I plugged my phone into Zune it said u was up-to-date with 7392. I then went the RTM route and after I was updated to RTM build (or w/e build was before 7720) it said it was installing an HTC update. It was done after that, and it said call Sprint support (like it did on the Arrive at the store, so I know it had to be a Sprint build). However, after checking the Sprint firmware on that phone and my phone, I noticed that they were different.
