China market: Nokia to face strong competition in Mango segment in 2012

Seems interesting to me that in the China market, the one poised for the most growth, there seems to be competition from the hardware manufacturers to get WP out to the masses. Even the domestic makers are looking to get a piece of the pie.

Also, I found the last paragraph interesting in their statement that MS says they are going to lower the hardware reqs for Tango. I would hate to see Tango on devices that were so minimal that it would negatively showcase its fluidity, but WP seems to run much better on lower hardware in the first place.

Sounds like a race to the bottom for the hardware specs. I have what seems to be considered a "low end" phone and mango runs fine on it. Webos ran on 500mhz processors but overclocking made it a little more snappy.

Specs only become relevant when stuff doesn't work
