Lumia 800 or 900

I'm thinking I prefer the 800, something about its compact and slick design is really pulling me away from the 900 even with its front facing camera and 4g lte. My previous phone was a Omnia 7 and now it's the titan. I kinda miss the smaller 4in amoled screen and wouldn't mind a 3.7in. I'm hoping the 800 comes to ATT not just the high end 900.

Anyone else having similar thoughts?

Me, too. I currently own a Xperia Ray which is simply a smaller 3.3 version of the Xperia Arc (same screen res, cpu, mem, camera). The Ray is a tad small for me but I still like it a lot better than the Arc, which I consider too big for a phone.

Lumia 800 will be available in two weeks here and I can't wait to leave Android behind, anyways it was only meant as an interim solution until the Nokia would be available . Formerly I had a BB Storm II (and several other BB's) and I liked the pure and raw functionality they had, but they lacked luster. From what I have seen of WP it has both and even on one of the best designed phones ever!

So I am 800 all the way.

EDIT: A relative owns the Nokia N9, and the design is awesome, played with it for several hours setting up accounts, apps and stuff. It feels really slim, strong, light and very well balanced. It simply is a joy to (be)hold. ;)

^^Well, not to be a downer, but there is another major alternative in the size range you are looking at:

iPhone 4S (only suggesting).

I'd say Lumia 900, but it's the price that would sway me to an 800.

If the 900 retails above $600, then I'd say it's probably not worth it.

I just won a Lumia 800 competition, probably going to sell it and put the money towards a 900.

I think they should have stayed with the 800's size. I am sure the 900 will be excellent I do think 3.7 to 4 is the sweet spot for me. The 900 has a pretty big battery. I say 800 is more exclusive in the usa and the better phone.

I actually hope that Nokia eventually comes out with a 4.5" device. My Titan has spoiled me.

I may be able to go down to 4.3". But I'm not sure about anything smaller than that.

I'd accept 4.3" in 800x480 form factor, or 4.5" in 16:9 (qHD or 720p) form factor. They both are about the same in width, and that's pratically my ideal typing screen size.

I have a lumia and a titan and the stretched out pixels on the titan look horrid next to the lumia 800. The 900 is taking a perfectly sized phone making it big and stretching out pixels.

Not complaining (I have a 3.8" Surround and love the screen size) but interesting to see how users are now calling a 3.7" screen "perfect" and 4.3" too big! A few months ago everything was flip-flopped. Maybe the Titan pushed the pendulum too far the other way.

I couldn't care less about a FFC. LTE however, I do want as I plan on sticking with my next phone until my next upgrade in late 2013/early 2014. My perfect screen size 4.0". I had a Titan and returned it cause it was way, way to big. My HD7 was borderline too big at 4.3" but I could definitely live with 4.3" again.

All that to say, if they both come to AT&T and only the 900 has LTE, I'll get the 900. If they both have LTE I will hold them both in hand and see which size is better, since neither is my perfect 4.0". I'm open to the 800. If the 900 really doesn't have curved glass AND they introduce an LTE 800 for AT&T, the 800 will win hands down I think.
