I have a lumia 710 and everything I read states that text messages can be read over Bluetooth.

I have the options under speech set correctly, but it does not read text messages.

When I plug it in my car stereo via 3 5" jack, it does fine, just nothing over Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth headset is a Jabbra Stone 2.

    Any known issues with this?

Figured it out. It was because I had the ringer on vibrate only. Didn't think this would affect the bt.

That's actually an interesting feature. I listen to podcasts on my commute and sometimes it's nice to leave it on vibrate so nothing really interrupts the podcast. The phone visually indicates a call but I hear nothing and it doesn't stop the show. It DID confuse me before I figured out what it was but I like it now that I know what it is.
