They wanted to keep it to your immediate vicinity I believe. However you can filter stuff out that's not relevant thereby increasing your list. For example just do food and you see 20 restaurants, two of which are Mexican. But if you filter for Mexican only you might see more further out (probably).
But say your in Orlando like I was when I first discovered this. There are like 20 food places within 2 miles. Half might be fast food. I'm really missing out on good places that are still within 5 miles. Seems like a terrible idea to limit results. Just give me a show more button...
Yeah that'd be nice, but have you tried filtering yet? You can also just do a normal Bing button search for "food" and swipe to local, that gives you a really long list. Local Scout is just supposed to be a quickie version of that.
