Hello, this is my first post here and I just recently bought my first smartphone and (obviously) went with a Windows phone. As there a few things that I wish were different about the OS, brings me here to ask a few questions.

First, can I expect updates still for win 7.5 still? Im hoping they still do regular updating even with the release of the win 8 OS. Whether it be minor feature changes or big overhauls, I wish to know if Ill see any changes in the future.

Also, and I know there's phone specific forums but maybe someone will know, I have a Nokia Lumia 710 and I know it is somewhat of an older phone but do they still make updates for phones as old as this? Or do they usually stop making updates once the phone is old enough?

Microsoft is still supporting Windows Phone 7. The 7.8 update will come out in 2013, and after that it's not terribly clear what plans are.

Microsoft is constantly busy in improving his customers mobile experience. And for that they have built a 7.8 update for old 7.5 customers which will be released in few weeks. The new update will also include the new start screen as windows phone 8 is having it. just wait....
And this doesn't ends up here, after that there is also a update called 7.x which is also included in Microsoft's planning list.
