how to use VPN in windows phone ?
VPN under settings asks for server name , type etc ? Don't know what to do there ?

Okay, so you can't just "use" VPN. You need an account with a VPN provider, either a paid account with a site like hidemyass.com or a corporate VPN.

I have a corporate account. And we use Cisco anyconnect, and Junos Pulse. Doesn't work on Windows RT, or Windows Phone 8.1.

yep, LOL JUST as I was predicting. "Enterprise VPN" support on 8.1 is a hollow promise. If Anyconnect support isn't there you can pretty much write off 30% of the market.

You can't. MS "forgot" that there are other protocols out there besides ikev2 :(. try finding a vpn provider with ikev2 support

I'm sick of Microsoft's passive aggressive stance on VPN. Support the frickin competition because not everyone is going to ditch their current AnyConnect setup for DirectAccess RAS Server BS.

i am on my college wifi and i want to access whatsapp

VPN's aren't for connecting OUT. They are for connecting IN. Since you said you are trying to connect to WhatsApp, using VPN won't help you since you don't have something on the far end to connect to.

In my case i want to connect to my Company Network via VPN. We have currently two Remote Access Servers. One is L2TP based and the other one SSTP. I?m really not asking much, only that i can do what everyone else can do. Every Android, every iPhone, every Blackberry. Hell, i carry my old WP 6.5 Phone in my bag so i have the possibility to make the VPN Connection in case of an emergency.

So, is the missing of L2TP and SSTP a Preview Thing and it will be added shortly via Update or App or is it officially not supported?

I was disappointed as well for not having pptp. I will investigate if I can switch the vpn connection in the company to IKEv2

vpn is extendable by apps.

I downloaded 3 vpn apps. All were recognized by the vpn app in wp8.1, but none of them managed to establish pptp connection. I guess I will investigate more in the next few days, and I'm sure more vpn apps will pop up soon.

Anyone got this working with hide my *** VPN?
