Sync problem with Gmail

Hi,
I use Microsoft Lumia 640 XL which is running Windows 8.1. I use Google Mail in the inbuilt mail app. The problem is, whenever I delete an email in the phone, I can still see the same email when I open the mail in the Desktop.

Perhaps your Desktop is using POP3 rather than IMAP?

A better check is when you delete it on the phone does it delete from the website.

You didn't answer the key question - does the email delete from the website when you delete from the phone?

No. It doesn't. The email appears only in All mail. Do you think emails are being archived when I delete them from the phone?
