I wanted to get the Lumia 920, but it has a high price which I cannot afford (nor my parrents would buy it for me), this I'm torn between the 8X and the 820.

I want to use my next-phone for at least 2 years. I want it to run new apps (especially games) and old (without the black gap on HD screens). I'm afraid of dropping my phone and ruining its back (8X) forever. I'm going to take some pictures and listen to music a lot.

I cannot really make my mind up... So far only the 8X 's available in my country (Romania). Which one should I get it? Or should I just wait for 920's price to drop? I'm so confused and I cannot come to an agreements with myself...

Thank you everyone for helping!

If you don't need 4G/LTE, Nokias exclusive apps or Micro SD-storage you would probably be happier with the 8X with better screen, larger battery and more internal storage (16Gbvs8Gb) and lesser weight ;)

If you're looking at the 820, you're on AT&T. The AT&T 8X only comes with 8gb, not 16gb. I had an 8X before I switched to my 820 and the 820 is a much better phone. The rumors of bad call quality are completely unfounded (at least, as far as I'm concerned; out of the iPhone 4s, the Lumia 920, the 8X, and the 820 my 820 gave me the best call quality) and the screen on the 820 is very nice.

Plus you get the MicroSD expansion (which you'll need on an 8gb phone), changeable battery, and swappable back covers.

I'd go with the 820... oh, wait, I already did. :)

I take back part of what I said: evidently AT&T does now have a 16gb 8X (when I got mine, AT&T only carried 8gb models). I'd still go with the 820.
