Hey guys!

Is there an app similiar to Google Now? I mainly use it to see how long it would take to go to work (for those who don't know it calculates the estimated time with the actual trafic situation)

Hi mighty123,

To my knowledge, there is no such app for Windows Phone for now... That is the reason why I decided to develop a similar one, with live tiles telling about the most immediate interesting information. If you are interested, I plan to try to put it on the marketplace in a few days. With that, users may be able to:

- see how long it will take to go to work, or to home, or to the location of the next appointment (using calendars)
- connect to Facebook to make it possible to wish friends birthdays (wall, sms, mail, call...) in one-click
- be aware of weather alerts
- have access to location-aware features (currencies, time differences...)

I am glad to see your post, this means that I am not the only one missing Google Now features!

Regards,
Armand

The Commute feature of Nokia Drive does this. It starts looking at your commute early on and tells you how long it will take.

Google Now is the most missed feature from my android phone. It was like my personal concierge. :(

Hi Armand!

I'm looking forward to see your app in action ;)
I will try Nokia Drive once i've bought a lumia 920 :)

Thanks a lot for your answers!

I never really got to use Google Now. By the time it came to the VZW Galaxy Nexus I had already moved to the GS3 and there was no way I could force myself to use that POS Nexus long enough to mess with it. I'm not sure how much it would help me compared to folks to live in more populated areas. I live in a small town (pop 10,000 ) and live a mile from work, but I have some friends in bigger cities that really like it.

I'll check your app out when it's available.

Armand the day your app is ready make sure to inform us, I would love to have it, thank you we need devs, like you

I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in this, if I have to go back to the Bing maps data in order to be told the truth about traffic... Truth being that there actually IS such a thing in Atlanta during rush hour. Nokia would have me believe there was no such thing....
