Hi folks - first time poster here, with a Lumia 820. I love the device and WP8, apart from one minor issue which is bugging the **** out of me.

At some point, a playlist has been synced over to the device, which has no items in it, and which I cannot delete. The option to delete is there, and gives no errors, but the playlist remains.
I've tried deleting it from Windows Explorer over USB. The file disappers from Explorer, but it still there in the 'playlists' section of the device. Once I disconnect the phone and re-connect it, the file is back. I've tried deleting it from inside Windows Media Player, the same thing happens. Appears deleted on the PC, but not on the phone, and comes back when re-connected.

I've even gotten so niggled by it that I did a full 'reset your phone' erase, but the list is still there afterwards. What can I do to get rid of this thing? Has anybody else ever encountered it?

I had this EXACT issue previously.

The playlists are from your Windows 8 machine. Look in the metro music app there and you should see those playlists. Delete them from there and they will be removed from your phone.

Edit: I think you can also disable the Xbox Cloud Sync option in settings and it will remove them from your phone as well if you prefer.

Thank you so much! I even re-flashed my device, and the phantom playlist kept coming back. I've just turned off 'Cloud Music Collection' in Settings and it's gone at last. I couldn't find anything on Google about this problem, so hopefully this will help somebody in future :)
