Hey everyone. There is a current feature request on the WP uservoice forum that looks to provide better Android-like NFC functionality. Please vote for it, and maybe we can have improved NFC functionality in the next update.

While I'll vote for this, there is no reason to think that MS couldn't, or isn't making a first party application that will allow for better NFC integration.
Really all I want to be able to do is chain functions that are in the OS.
EX: Silence phone, set alarm, dim screen brightness.
Then in my car: Turn screen brightness up, turn bluetooth on, turn ringer on.

There are apps out there already (a pretty great one actually) that allows for me to launch applications. So I think were all set on that.

I don't see why ms need to update the os.

It should be trivial to do any of those things in an app, so we just need one of the nfc apps to accept command line parameters.

The dev for nfc interactor was on here and listening to our requests,so maybe he is already working on it.
