Hi I'm planning to get a lumia 920 once it launches here in India .but this point I haven't seen in any reviews so far.
iOS and winph7 could only download PDFs and documents from the browser.songs and videos could only be streamed not saved.if u have to get a new song into ur phone u have to do it via laptop.
In android and Symbian u can directly download songs and videos from websites.

Can we do it in windows phone 8? Can we directly download songs and save it from websites instead of just streaming it?
    Please reply.

@birgs Whom told you that thing,
UC Browser can store any file on SD Card, but in .mp3 state.
guys just assume each your .mp3 file is a zip file, store in sd card after any time you can rename it on your PC.
    just remove .mp3 extension.

    such as,
    abcd.mp4.mp3
    just delete last extension ( .mp3 )
    abcd.mp4
