Outlook SMTP

So I want to switch over to Outlook.com instead of gmail for better syncing with my phone. My problem is that from what I understand, Outlook.com doesn't support sending mail through smtp which means emails will be sent "on behalf of" my email rather than actually originating from my email. Is there any good solution to this problem? If there isn't I wont be able to make the switch but I would really like to.
