    So when I heard about WP8 having this Lenses feature, I was pretty excited. It sounded like a sort of plugin experience for the built in camera app... perhaps to give you more controls, or effects, or whatever that particular lens did. Every lens I've tried simply launches its own app, totally separate from the camera app itself. Does anyone else feel let down by this feature?

    That's exactly what it is, it's like a folder for camera apps.

    My point is that they didn't really act like it simply an aggregator, at least not from what I read. It had this vibe of being something much more sophisticated. It's a step in the right direction as it is, but still...
