Totally and utterly useless since Lumia 920 doesn't have proper audio hardware like a dedicated MP3 player (like HiFi man or Cowen) do. You'll be lucky if you can hear even a 320kbps MP3 in its full glory out of a smartphone, let alone a mobile phone.

Secondly I cringe at the though of listening to Beiber in lossless format.

I know what hardware Lumia 920 has and a dedicated audio DSP isn't one of it

you have proof to prove me otherwise? The last phone that I know of which used a dedicated DSP + amp was the Nokia N91 half a decade ago.

And the recent phones that make SOME attempt at improving audio includes Samsung Galaxy S3 (Wolfson Audio) and iPhone 4S (Cirrus Logic)

Even as an Audio geek, i gave up with lossless on a mobile ages ago.

The amount of space taken, versus the tiny sound difference (even with decent headphones) just isn't worth it for me.

That said, nice to see you've taken the time to write a how to.

You should have a look round the Windows Phone suggestions forum (Feature Suggestions: Hot (21898 ideas)), and put links to your guide on all the calls for lossless music, as i've seen quite a few.

I've thought so too, but on Michael Oldfield "The Bell" people with standard ears heard difference, no disappearing dawdling, wet sound and breathe, I tested)

No the photo of the motherboard isn't needed when you have cold hard, scientifically delivered facts that the audio output on the phone is just average to good at best. Not FLAC level good.
And btw your English is way too weak to be hurling insults. They're embarrassingly bad.

Sure I have a couple of albums in FLAC. Dont put them on any of my mobile devices since, as stated before, you can't hear the difference.

Well, I don't want to store them all on my phone, but I sure would like FLAC support so that I could stream them from my NAS.

If I should think my English is good so never say sorry for this in post, so you are missed. But that's clear why you so sticky - you just don't like Russians, usual racist. The second - if you think site measuring audio specs using as a source MP3 is a serious site... Man, you more stupid than you shown already. (Yes, MP3 because no WAV support now))). Third. You didn't tell something about HTC 8X with Beats chip. What? Nothing to say just make **** about my pronounce?)))) So you are absolutely and 100% detected fat throll. Think in life too. Anyway I will never visit this subsidiary of 4chan, I gave an tiny info - everyone can use it as he can.
PS. That's interesting - if no one know about Russian origin of this thread - how mush degrees would grow positivity of commentators?
