Of all the games, what won't run on a lumia 521? Thinking about getting my kid one for a couple games and media.

Good question. Most games run. I remember that Temple Run and Asphalt 7 did not initially run, but the games quickly got updated so they would run in 512MB RAM. I'm sure there must be others that don't, but given the number of 512MB devices out there, I'm sure that list will grow small.

Will be a great phone for your kid to have. If mine was phone age they'd be having this.

Some high graphics games like N.O.V.A 3, Modern Combat 4, Real Racing, FIFA, Real Football 2013 wont run. But as realwarder said, since the users count of these devices are increasing fast, there is a huge chance of getting all the games to work in these devices too. And games like Asphalt, Temple Run, Dredd Vs Zombies, Gun Bros and lots of good games are available now for 512 MB ram too. Even HALO: Spartan Assault which is expected to be released soon will also work on 512 MB Ram devices. I am using Lumia 520 and i can say that Lumia 521 is a good phone too.

Get him iPod Touch 5th gen if all he does is games and media.

It runs pretty much every single game and handles high graphics well.

Id agree with the ipod comment unless he needs the phone function. Oh goodness, i feel dirty for recommending IOS, better go shower.

Then no device at $199 which can handle all latest games.

Especially Spiderman or batman (there are like 3 official batman games including lego version and 2 Spiderman games supported on it)

Lot of nice games like tiny wings , subway surfers ,Limbo , ski Safari etc.
Are not available in WP.

If all he plays is angry birds or cut the rope , 520 fits fine.
