Apps show there is a limit to the number of apps for push notification

Hi all, I'd read that the number of apps that could subscribe to push notifications was 15 or 30 for WP7 and the limit had been removed in WP8. However, some three or four of my apps show that the limit has been exceeded and that there won't be push notifications from the apps. Is the limit still applicable? And I don't have 30 apps showing push notifications. The number is somewhere between 10 and 15.

I use a Lumia 720.

From what I read, the limit is hardcoded in the firmware by phone makers. It is probably related to how much RAM does the phone have.

Personally, I only enable push notifications for the tiles that are on my start screen. I've disable toast notifications for as much as I can.

I much prefer having things as clean as I can with just tile counts to indicate there's something new.

I know that's not the answer to the thread, but this is just how I roll.

I don't believe the number is hard coded, but depends on something (what, I don't know). I've been limited to both 15 and 12 on my 928 at different times, but I couldn't tell you what was causing the limit of 12 when it was limited at 12.
