Wi-Fi Proxy trick CLOSED by creator, it does not work anymore.

I've been seeing this method of getting app that say "This app not available for your device"
still being posted as a way to get apps.
As of 16, December 2013 it was closed.

It doesn't work anymore. :straight: so no need to suggest it.

Even if the developer CLOSED it ? I don't think that is possible.

Maybe a different URL/ Server but not 117.135.139.179
or 103.13.29.118 it is defunct too.

103.13.29.118 is not defunct yet, may be its by different developer, I was able to install nokia beamer after updating my Lumia 920 to black update.

No you have Nokia Beamer because your phone has Lumia Black which is required not only to use it but download it.
If you have BLACK it's no problem

And just to be fair to you I change location to India and
tried both defunct/dead/closed proxy servers and "we can't connect to the Store right now" and IE won't load a page.

Here in Finland I didn't get it without 103.13.29.118 proxy. By the way, there is no need to change region, just proxy.

I had used India as location many times but this time I could not connect until I changed time to India and location sensor was OFF.

This 103.13.29.118 was always much slower and important as less reliable as the server 117.135.139.179 -but at least it works but now that the old server is dead
this one will get overloaded and crash -hopefully not too many will use it.

This made me wonder why is Nokia not allowing lumia 920 to install beamer.
