Live tiles and the Notification Center

I was just thinking, how will the notification center and the live tiles be two different entities? The entire point of live tiles is to show notifications, and if a notification center arrives, then wont it be a little counterproductive to have two screens for the same thing? For example, you have the email tile showing you unread emails and content, and you have a notification center showing you the same thing, thereby draining more battery.


I, for one, don't think windows phone needs a notification center. Live tiles should be improved, that's all. Add some interactivity and use it actively to show more notifications, like an enlarged settings tile showing quick toggles.
