I'm running into this on Yahoo and several IMAP accounts. Rather than move deleted items into "TRASH" it moves them into a new folder it created, called "Deleted". I realized this after noticing I now have 42,000 messages in my "DELETED" folder on Yahoo, which I can't easily empty. I'm now having to go through the web, select some at a time, and move them into trash.

I can't find a way to change where it's moving deleted items on the phone when I delete them.

Any thoughts/help? I don't find it in sync options or settings.

i havent found any solution for this too. i m using gmail, and when mails deleted, it simply creates tag as deleted msgs. got to delete them again in the gmail account on pc.

anyway, if u r having 42000 mails in deleted folder, u r having a lot of spams my dear. i cant imagine deleting 42000 msgs from my phone in the 1st place.

I also noticed this problem with Gmail, with deleted messages being assigned into a new "Deleted Items" folder instead of "Trash". I got around this by using a different Gmail app, called MetroMail, which assigns deleted messages with the "Trash" label.

What I did on my email account, on PC sign in to webmail, right click on the deleted item folder, select properties (folder properties), select auto delete after 7 days. I don't use Yahoo, but might be worth a try. Or create a server rule to auto delete (email rules).

Hi , I have accidently deleted " DELETE" folder from Gmail account on laptop. But now after soft reset n hard reset it's not showing in Gmail's App on windows phone as well as on my laptop. Those deleted mails can't be seen in trash folder as well. So in case if I want to recover those deleted mails, I couldn't. So how n where to find those deleted mails or how to recover DELETE folder in gmail app.
Thanks.
