Phone locked up...

Like really bad while using the camera and would not respond at all. Now as far as I know I got it to turn off and then back on. I'm not sure if it was something I did or if the phone just reset on its own. It took 20 minutes for it to finally reset.

What I'm wondering is if there is a button sequence that I can press next time it happens and reboot the phone without loosing anything?

How to Soft reset Nokia Lumia 1520
Best suited if you’re facing performance problems, network problems and some freezing problems. This soft reset will only restore your phone to default settings and does not affect your stored data and files. To perform soft reset follow the below guidelines:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and Hold the Volume down and Power buttons at same time for 15 seconds until it vibrates for one time. Then release the buttons, it will vibrate 3 times.
3. Your phone will restart automatically and boot to Nokia logo.
