Anyone have any suggestions for a GPS app that can log while running in the background? I've tried a few including Outdoor Navigator and GPS Logger, but the main problem of those apps is that they can't continue to run in the background.

I know Windows Phone isn't supposed to support multi-tasking, but when I see an app like gMaps that can update my position via Latitude even when it is not running or on the list of recent apps, it says that this SHOULD be able to be accomplished. Am I crazy?

My problem is that when I do GPS logging, I may have to log for 6-10 hours at a stretch. Even a simple "Do you want to stop this app?" screen would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance folks.

Not sure how gMaps works as I haven't used it, but I don't believe apps can use location services in the background. I believe the OS does store the location every 15 minutes and makes that available to background tasks.
