Xbox Music

I have neither Xbox nor Zune, so my knowledge of Microsoft music apps is minimal. However, I have my Windows 8 Professional laptop and my HTC 8X so I'm thinking that maybe it's time for me to look into Xbox Music. I had begun loading my music up into Google Music so I could stream it as needed, and I've installed the Gooroovster app, but I'm getting more and more disillusioned with Google.

So! Educate me. Can I upload my music to Xbox Music similar to how I was doing with Google Music and stream it on my 8X?

I could be wrong on this but from my knowledge and just starting to use it also. I believe the app matches your albums to the MS servers and yous stream from their servers I dont think there is no uploading songs. The only pain is if it does not find a match you have to right click on the album and search a return list to find the correct album. So far so good with the app. Only spent about a hour matching up unknown albums and missing tag info.
