BBC iPlayer needs an Xbox account???

Really? I can only guess it'd be to confirm your MS account and location. It needs your location to make sure you're in the UK so you can use it. This is a guess but it's the only thing I can think of.

Yep really. For me anyway. If you look at the iPlayer page on the store under "App requires" it says Xbox (top of the list), amongst other things. I don't have an Xbox. I don't want an Xbox. I certainly don't want an Xbox account. Why would I, because I don't have a friggin Xbox? Doh! M$, Nokia and O2 must know where I am by now without me having to open an Xbox account, surely. Thanks for your input anyway, Muessig. If you can figure this out you're a better man than I.
