On a news article from the homepage I read this post by dalydose:

It is a challenge which is why I bug anyone I do business with to make a Windows Phone app. It doesn't really do much good to complain about it here. Your bank, retailer, local wine club, etc., ain't following the happenings over here. Email, call, Tweet, post on Facebook, comment on their blog, etc. I have called and had reps tell me that I'm the FIRST PERSON that they've heard from requesting a Windows Phone app. True story. If we spent less time repeating the same complaints to people who can't do anything about it and spent more time addressing the content owners and app makers, we might have more nice things. :) Just sayin...

It got me thinking that we could be so much more influential if we coordinated our contacts to developers so that they don't get the first person contacting them in December and the second person in March. We hit them all at once over a short period of time. They will take notice!

Instead of just a long list of developers contact accounts, I feel we will have better results by focusing on one or two at a time. I don't have the time to ping 50 developers at once and I don't expect that of anyone else. So please help us stay organized by following the simple guidelines below.

Also, please keep the thread clean and on topic. You may complain about lack of apps or how pointless this is elsewhere.

To participate, please leave a simple comment formatted as such:

1) App name, description, contact info
2) App name, description, contact info

Try to find relevant social media links, submission forms on websites and verified twitter accounts.

Please limit it to just your top 2 so I can make sure to represent everyone at some point. Also there is likely to be some overlap.

I'll update the OP with one app per week (this has increased to two apps with one "Up Next" for more participation!) but feel free to look through the other comments and contact those developers as you please. When an app rotates off of the OP, feel free to continue to reach out to them on whatever schedule you wish. It isn't necessary to SPAM them.

Thanks for stopping by!
-------------------------------------------
Please remember to keep all communications professional and cordial We want to give a good impression to these companies that will be doing us a favor. Don't be jerks/brats/angry about it. Just kindly request the application and move on! Use spell check if you feel you need to, there is nothing wrong with that.

SPECIAL ADDITION: CHASE Bank

Even if you don't use Chase as your bank (I don't), please send them a request to keep the Windows Phone application. Remember, keep it civil. They say we don't exist, well let them know we are here, but be respectful and use spellcheck please! We want to be taken seriously.

Someone was gracious enough to start a webpage to further help gain some visibility: Check out www.wishapplist.com/ and vote for your app there. Just takes a moment to create an account and then vote away!

Brilliant.

Target some Banks soon. I know that goes country by country... But it is a frequently brought up App shortfall. I'm all set as my bank (Bank of America) has a full flavored App. I know many others do not and they deserve some WP love too.

Count me in as a regular.

Great idea.
How about apps that do exist but have not been updated for a very long time? (Vine, Kik Messenger)
Also, I suggest Quora.
Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/quora
Twitter: https://twitter.com/quora
Quora Tech Support: https://www.quora.com/Quora-Tech-Support

While I do agree that they deserve attention, technically they have a presence already so I'd like to focus on just the non-existent ones...

However! Why not start another thread called #DontForgetYourOwnApp like that hashtag Rudy Huyn created? I'd have two main stops each week on Windows Central if someone else does that one.

Great idea!! Will certainly be participating in this. Hope this gets all the attention it deserves because its a great way to bring in new apps that are much needed in the marketplace.

Thank you all for participating.

Just for clarification, I'll try to make sure to get all of the info I can on that first post so we don't have to scroll endlessly. Snap chat will rotate off on Thursday, Epocrates will move up and whatever is next will be "Up Next".

This will be a slow process but it will give roughly two weeks for each app to have high visibility on the OP :)

Were going for quality of the requests for each application rather than sheer number of requests. I apologize if I don't prioritize the apps you suggest right away, but I will try to get to all of them eventually!

Does anyone feel like making a change.org petition for Epocrates? Perhaps make it a short, well-written template for future app petitions. That would help out a lot.

Are we posting for the big apps or local apps as well?

Local also! Just provide the relevant info and it will make it up there. This will probably work best for the smaller, local services/banks actually. We should ask politely if they will consider developing a version of their app for Windows phone users. They should see enough requests over a couple weeks that someone notices and tells their boss, who tells their boss, etc.

App name/type of app (bank/grocery store etc)
Web link
Social media links

I totally forgot to say this before, but these apps should already exist for iOS or Android. We are simply trying to help close the existing gap to give ourselves and potential users a true experience of Windows phone. Too many people say the platform is horrible because they can't find their app. That's unfair.

Damn it they even have a Blackberry app.
Not entirely sure why the feedback form is not working on desktop IE but
