Just want to know if anyone else is experiencing performance drops in Asphalt 8 after updating to 8.1. It's now very choppy and laggy.
I'm running the WP8.1 Preview on my Lumia 1520.

Go to Battery Saver and disable some background tasks.
Or, Re install the game or reset the device.

No matter what I do, Asphalt 8 runs like crap on 8.1 Developer Preview on my 1520. Feels like it might be memory config related...IIRC 8.1 squeezes the max/min RAM specs per app more to accommodate 512MB devices. Perf issues remind me of what happens in Android when you start dicking around with per app RAM boundaries.

not olnly Asphalt 8 most big games on L1520 have fps issues. I think it is problem in wp8.1 runnig on 1520 only. Maybe something related to GPU.

Yeah I noticed that too, but I made a whole thread for Asphalt because 8.1's impact on it was the worst from my list of games.

I redownloaded the game and while it is better, still not very good. Before, it felt like sub 15 fps...now it is pretty smooth, but still skips a frame every 5 seconds or so.

First I'd like to say I'm running Asphalt 8 only since a couple of days, in fact I only installed it a couple of hours prior I updated to 8.1 preview.
However on my 1020 I can't complain, the game runs smooth after all and I can't really say it runs worse now with 8.1 than it did with the previous OS version.

Peculiarly, it has gone from terrible, over time, to almost back to pre-8.1 performance. Very odd.

Hmm, maybe I should re-install as well.
I can wait for an update though. It was recently my go to game for a quick race, but I can manage with what I have.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

Same here on 820 installed on SD card, I try it on 920 with internal memory and let u know..

Same issues here mate. Running on L920 with 8.1 dev preview. I updated to 1.0.0.4 and still not working so well.
