Windows Phone 8.1 picks up first update, improves battery life and squashes bugs

Windows Phone 8.1 has been with us for a month now. It came out April 14 and we?ve been loving it ever since. Today the first update is being pushed out to those in the Preview for Developers program who are running Windows Phone 8.1.

Weird! my battery was 85% or something like this while the phone was downloading the update, then the system told me that "update will take 10-15 minutes", click on update and now I have the charging logo on screen...

Updating now. Although I did not have problems with battery drain, I will check out if some things are more stable now (Action center sometimes lags if I am in an app and pull it open)

Can confirm this has fixed the Internet Explorer, Advanced Settings issue 3 HTC 8X's were experiencing. Will report back if more fixes found.

EDIT: Soft-rest again and now I have the gears on screen...

Googled the error and it is a Windows 7/8 BSOD error... lol
