What alternative uses are there for the HDMI In port?

See I have a laptop with HDMI out and I frequently use my LCD 32" to watch movies and such, the drag is usually switching back to my TV setup , Will I be able to make my PC some sort of a channel by which I could easily switch to and back from or even snap my PC next to a game ?

I hope the HDMI in has unlimited uses, for instance, I can HDMI in my 360 for a still AIO Xbox experience, it better yet Xbox in a PS4 for an AIO Gaming experience???!!!

You know what your PS4 experience needs to stop you from switching inputs? An Xbox One.
