Unable to join xbox clubs

when I try to request invitation to any club in xbox app in windows 10, a popup opens saying "This cant be done because of how your account is set up. Check privacy &*online settings online to change permissions". But when I see my*privacy & online safety settings on*xbox.com, "You can create and not join clubs" is*set to allowed in the settings. Also in forza horizon 3, no online feature is working saying I can't do it because of my parental controls. Also, i'm not part of an family. Can anyone help?

Check the Communications & Multiplayer section and make sure that joining multiplayer games is set to Allow. I had a similar problem when my daughter and I were trying to play Disney Infinity 3.0 together. It wouldn't allow her to play games with online multiplayer content even if I was signed in and playing with her and gave permission for her to play the game. They put in all these parental controls, but when you try and use them it really limits the capabilities.

Thanks for the reply. All the settings are set to allowed in xbox.com privacy and online settings.
