Xbox Live down - Gold status not being recognized

Gold status of my account is not being recognized. Website says core services are down. 30+ min wait to talk to customer service, and 18min wait to chat with a rep online.

How would we help you with that? You (were) already doing what we would've advised. You basically answered your question in your first post.

Just giving a heads up to anyone interested. Wasn't looking for answers about Xbox live on wpcentral, that wouldn't make too much sense.
