I just purchased a Zune HD on clearance (knowing that MS has shut down the subscription service).
When I first turned on my Zune HD, I saw the small zune logo and the colored bar going up the screen but then the screen would go blank (black).
I charged for a couple hours but there was no change.
I even did a hard reset and installed the latest firmware.
When I plug the zune into my laptop with the zune software, it syncs and the display on the zune shows it's connected and charging (and the battery meter shows almost full), but when I unplug the zune it's the same - black screen.
At this point holding down the power button for > 10 seconds does not seem to reset the device (turn it back on), so now I see nothing when I unplug it from the computer.
Any suggestions? Should I let it totally discharge or should I try charging longer?
