Has me wondering... Will Nokia or Samsung or HTC or who ever else give me a decent, useable device (phon-let). Then there's the recent news that the "maybe" someday network (sprint) has already tossed in the towel on WinPhone 8 so I'm feeling up poopie creek with out a paddle. What I'm saying is it might be time for me to jump in to the putrified waters of Hemroid! The mere thought of it turns my stomach but at least I can get the device I want. So I want a ASUS PadFone but what carrier will let me connect with it?

Here's the specs but I don't understand this crap!

    WCDMA
    HSPA+ UL:5.76 Mbps/DL:21 Mbps
    3G :
    WCDMA :
    900/2100
    2G :
    EDGE/GPRS/GSM : 850/900/1800/1900

According to that, you won't get 3G on any US carrier.

Hmmm... There's a guy on the Hemroid forum that has one and he's in California. I asked what network he has but he didn't answer.

Yeah, carriers take forever. WP8 will probably come out before the PadFone reaches the US.

U.S. carriers will probably make you pay a tethering charge.

And I'll be praying some tech savy person will figure out how to hack that charge right out of existance.
