Samsung fined $340,000 for faking online comments | The Verge
The Verge points to what sammy did to hurt HTC but I've always believed google is behind a lot of why competitors in the mobile space either cannot get good placement in phone stores. It is not by accident Windows Phone is having a tougher time of it selling phones AND reaching parity with others in mobile. When you see friendly "open source" used to do evil and use its leverage to block Microsoft from building and publishing a great YouTube app and claim the reason is a small WP market, but then release a Youtube app for FirefoxOS which has ZERO market share, you know shenanigans is going on at the top. Sure, MS has made its share of self-inflicted wounds with a new OS, but that doesn't give open source the right to fabricate press.
