So they chose Lollipop as the name for this new Android version. The specs for this phone are bleeding-edge, and the metal body is a nice change from the plastic Nexus devices in the past.

*edit*

The camera specs displayed are backwards, it should say that the 13mp camera is on the rear, not the front. And in case it isn't obvious, the phone is made by Motorola. It has front facing stereo speakers like the Moto phones do these days.

Got the cameras backwards
Edit: You said that already. Oops.
Anyway, sounds too big for a primary flagship phone, if the screen size is correct. Overall, it'll be a strong competitor IF Google/Motorola actually advertise it.

I'm reading that it will be $650 off contract which is a lot higher than previous Nexus phones. A lot of Android fans are already complaining that it is too expensive.

Yeah the price is higher than expected. I'm picking it up from T-Mobile anyways, I have a Jump available on a phone that I don't even use from them.

Way over priced. I'd rather get a Z3 for $600 outright.

Yeah, but as someone who loves large phones(my Z Ultra is 6.4") I'm getting the Nexus. There are a TON of new high-end Android devices being released right now. Something for everyone really, regardless of what your tastes are.

That's actually amazing! It seems to be one device for all US carriers, something even Apple hasn't done.

There are iPhones on all major US carriers. Not sure about the 6/6+ but the 5S was available even on small regional carriers like US Cellular. The GS3 was also on all the carriers even prepaids like MetroPOS, Virgin and Straight Talk. Not a very common occurrence but not unheard of. I guess we're so used to WP only being on select carriers with select devices. Sucks don't it?

Virtually all high end phones are on all carriers, excluding WP. What I'm saying is that it appears that the exact same Nexus 6 device will work on any of the carriers. No iPhone does that, or any other phone in the world.

Here are the bands in the US version:

Americas SKU: (XT1103)
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8
LTE: Bands: 2/3/4/5/7/12/13/17/25/26/29/41
CA DL: Bands: B2-B13, B2-B17, B2-29, B4-B5, B4-B13, B4-B17, B4-B29
