Moto Launcher settings: Add more dock apps

How can I configure the settings for the moto launcher on Moto G6 Plus? I want to add more apps to the dock. The limit right now is 5. I want to add a 6th or 7th to the dock. When I drag and drop it says "no more room in favorites tray"

I want these on my dock:
1. Phone
2. Txt
3. Chrome
4. Photos
5. Camera
6. Bluemail

I briefly tried Microsoft and Nova launcher and didn't like them.

You don't. You need to use a launcher like Nova or Microsoft that allows you to add more than 5 to the dock or just live with what Moto gives you.
