    Hello,

This is the closest thing I found to our Win10 mobile UI. Yes it has its limitations but I am hoping the developer can reduce that.

If you are using Launcher 10, please post a screenshot! It will remind me and countless others the glory days when we had those "Take a screen shot of your home screen on Win10 mobile". I always enjoyed looking at them.

    Thanks,
    Nate

I've tried a number of 'windows' launchers' for my S8+, and settled on Launcher 10 over a year ago. It has become much more stable, and looks as good as my old, beloved 950 XL...

I actually thought about installing one of these launchers today and seeing how I fared with it. But I worry that it won't be able to replicate the experience completely and so I would be left wanting.

I've been using Microsoft Launcher, which is actually a fantastic launcher over all and looks pretty great. But it isn't Windows 10 Mobile, by any means. I've considered messing around with Launcher 10, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about something that's "almost" there, and doesn't have the same level of integration into Microsoft's services that I can still get with Microsoft Launcher.

I also use the Microsoft Launcher and I am happy with it. That's why I am skeptical to use one of these apps that are supposed to mimic the look and feel of Windows Phone.

Exactly my thought. I still have a few Windows phones around and recently boot up my Lumia 640 XL (my 950 is dedicated to another...project). It looks great, and has even gotten some of the new Office icons. But it's very, very different to Android. I just can't see how a Launcher alone would do the trick.

So far, it doesn't. It's like trying to turn a Toyota into a Ferrari by changing the badge.

Does myradar actually show local radar in tile like W10M? I have myradar tile on my 950XL home screen and use daily.

No it does not. That is one major disappointment. There are a couple of widgets available, but all they show are the temp and current conditions -- no radar.

It will never be possible to perfectly replicate a Windows Phone on anything other than, yep, a Windows Phone.

I thought so, bummer. I've used myradar on android and the widget does not display current current radar.. Another bummer. I've become accustomed to Having real time radar on my home screen. Very useful.

    Adventurer64,

No unfortunately. It is the Nine calendar app which I had it be synced with outlook.com.

    Thanks,

I've been using SquareHome3 for almost a year, very similar and stable. Live photo tile from my camera gallery and contacts mini tiles.

No live radar but I found a shortcut tile to opens directly to a radar with forecast.

Nice home screen! I believe this is launcher 10. I used Square Home 3 for awhile on my V20 and found it to be laggy, especially with more widgets. I like the look shown here better than anything I was able to achieve with SH3. There's tons of settings in SH3, but I don't think the look above can be achieved.

This is mine so far... still very much a work in progress. Have some issues to figure out with the fonts though--not happy about my implementation.

Also need to get my Windows Phone sound pack. Microsoft emojis are working on the phone, and the navigation bar works like how it did on Windows Phone (it's not just icons on the 3 button android navigation bar).

I've gone through a lot of different ROMs, and I'm most happy with AOSP Extended. I did experiment using Square Home 3, and it was ok... I wasn't happy with the all apps list though. If only I could merge certain aspects of Launcher 10 with Square Home 3...

    Dan,

Nice layout! I have two questions for you. How can we get the Win10 Mobile fonts/icon packs? Secondly, regarding your Outlook Tiles, how did you create a Outlook Calendar Tile? Oh mine, I was unable to so I had to get another app called "Nine" email app (and installed my Outlook Calendar on it) to get a live tile up.

    Thanks,
    Nate

So, my icon packs... they aren't exact versions of Microsoft... Launcher 10 comes with default white icons, there's also Whicons, FlatWhite, and Flight Lite. They are all in the play store, and available for free. Once you install them, if you edit a tile, you can select an icon from those installed icon packs.

The calendar is part of Launcher 10 too. I pinned the Outlook Calendar Widget, and then clicked the "show calendar live tile" option in the edit menu in Launcher 10.

Microsoft emoji can be found in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...&postcount=806. I unzipped that file and copied notocoloremoji.ttf directly to /system/fonts (as root).

To replace my font, which I'm not happy with my solution, I used SegoeWP-Semilight.ttf found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...73&postcount=6. I used the program called iFont to install the custom font (as root). The way iFont works is that it replaces the system font with the new font--so all of my webpages, those that don't have a default font specified, show up as the Segoe font, which is a little weird. My android ROM has a font manager and selector, which doesn't replace the default font (so webpages are still rendered with Roboto), but I haven't figured out yet how to install the font properly with it yet (I can only select from preinstalled font choices right now).

    Hope this helps.

One more thing--I was trying to make my own icon packs using Icon Pack Generator on the play store... but I couldn't get it to work. My custom icon pack in Launcher 10 was just showing up as empty... I'm still researching this aspect, but this is a lower priority for me right now.

I guess one more thing... I'm actually using 2 launchers. The cortana app is absolutely horrible, so what I have done is I've remapped my Cortana button to use the Microsoft Launcher instead (which opens to the glance page, and I'm removed all of the home screen/traditional launcher stuff through its settings).

And another thing... my Start Labels are made through the KWGT app.
