It's hard to understand few things. One such thing is why Microsoft did not just use Lumia 950's camera on Surface Duo. I know it's aged but it would have been still lots better than what Duo is offering.

I also wonder why Microsoft is not utilizing the 950's camera technology even on other Surface products. I mean just look at the specs.

Single 20 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), 1/2.4", 1.12µm, AF, OIS
Features Zeiss optics, triple-LED RGB flash, panorama, HDR
Video 4K@30fps, stereo sound rec., 1080p@30/60fps

What do you think guys?

I think the Surface team has a lot of smart people who understand engineering hardware way more than anyone here and they made the decision they thought was best for gen 1.

That 'part' might no longer be available. They were, more than likely, offered a few options and chose the option that fitted their budget. Once they know that they have 'a' market for the device, the second release should be a lot better.

Still loving my 950 camera, but I'm with Spicy. Zeiss has surely re-married, in any event.
