re: Pocket File Manager (The only application with FTP Server and File Manager)

Fully agree that useful app we need to pay, in other words to buy. Someone is spend his time, work or free time does not matters that we can use what he/she is develop, at least from my perspective. Especially because most of app which I buy, using for business purpose. Of course, app or games that I am using in my free time I will look to download them for free, like was case two days ago with Rovio and Disney games.
Again, ftp client and especially scp client would help me a lot to speed up my business tasks when I am not in office.
Cheers.

Do you work for free? Does everything in Thailand free? Food? We all want for free, but never think how much it could take from someone to make and support applications.

re: Pocket File Manager (The only application with FTP Server and File Manager)

It is store generated error, not PFM

I have tried several times and keep getting that same error code. I tried downloading other apps and they installed fine. So what would you suggest pls? Uninstall and do a full re-installation? Is there a limit as to how many times I can re-install without the need to pay all over again?

Uninstalling may help. I have no idea, but this is not app bug.
Also there is no limit on how many times you can reinstall an app

You should contact MS support about it. Could be a bug with your account or something else.

Yes, it's a account bug and that has been sorted out. I re-install the apps and sending of files by email is still not working and asking me to check email setting.

I suggest you to try different emails.
I've tested this on hotmail, outlook.com, no problems at all.

Sorry, I don't quite understand.

I tried to send a tiny file to both my Yahoo and Gmail email address and both couldn't get through. I do not use hotmail.

In the Setting/SMTP setting, I have
smtp.live.com
587
My Microsoft Live username
Password
Are these correct?

Yes, correct.
Should be no problem with it as I use the same settings.

What language/region do you set on your phone?

Select gmail from predifined servers and dont forget to add @gmail.com with gmail username. For example if your email is optiplex@gmail.com you should enter optiplex@gmail.com and not optiplex.
Just tested sending a file and its working for me.

re: Pocket File Manager (The only application with FTP Server and File Manager)

Do you have email configured for live.com account on your phone? Can you receive e,mails to this account?

Yes, I can send and receive my yahoo email on this phone.

But I notice something. When log onto

http://commerce.microsoft.com

I saw at the top right hand, it says I have a GB and a MY account. I don't know why there are 2 there. Does that has any significant?

I am talking about live.com, not yahoo.
If yahoo is your primary email, then you have to setup it in PFM to use for sending
