    Hey all,

I have ported my cPlayer Windows Phone app over to Windows 8. In the process it gained the ability to read media from the local libraries and removable storage. Unlike the built-in video app it can:
    • read .srt subtitles
    • keep bookmarks and optionally pin them to the home screen
    • lock the screen orientation
    • go to the next media automatically (useful for watching series)

It's free but it displays ads and removing them costs 2$. Download link.
