I created the Pred and Prey app as an experiment in evolutionary principle. This little tech demo setups an environment containing plants, herbivores and carnivores.

Over the generations, the animals become better suited to their environment. Pressures of predation and competition [for limited resources] force the animals to adapt over subsequent generations. These changes are not scripted but occur by survival of the fittest.
Absolutely pointless app, but I find it fascinating to watch!
