I've submitted a new update to Skyline for WP8. Here are a few new features:

-Added: sunrise and sunset time and chart color based on night and day
    -Added: cloud coverage chart
-Fixed: App crashing for when imperial units are used
-Fixed: Icon scaling in maps view for horizontal orientation

It should be live in a few hours. Thank you to users who gave feedback on how to make it better. I always appreciate your comments.

    Hello guys,

I apologize for being totally unprepared to be featured on WPcentral. The app has been dysfunctionnal for a lot of people because the number of data calls reached its hourly limit within 15 minutes after reset every hour since the article was published. Thus, I made the decision to pull it off the store. People who used the app around the first quarter of each hour should have been able to use it properly.
I've updated it to use another data provider in a very short amount of time, thus the new update might still have quite a few bugs here and there. I'm going to keep you up to date with the development here in this thread. It is now live in the store. Please accept my sincere apology.

Hi again. I just want to tell you that there are a few hidden features or Easter eggs in the app. I'll keep them coming. And, version has been certified and will be available soon, so make sure you update for a more stable release. If there is any error or false information, please do send me an email from within the app about page. Thanks!

Hi everyone. The app has been updated to version and has been in a rapid release cycle. And I'm so proud to have been featured in the Canadian Windows Phone store recently. I'm still planning to bring more features while fixing bugs for the current version 1.1.X.X. Features planned which has been asked by users include localization and weather alerts. By the way, I love getting emails from users for ideas and bug reports so don't be shy.

I was thinking of starting to monetize the app. One idea is to bring extra features via in-app purchases as some services do cost money (believe it or not! :D). Ads are certainly the most popular choice for free apps but it's annoying. With heavy heart I'm thinking of making it a paid app instead. But after reading an article about SwiftKey going free with paid custom design, I'm interested in knowing the community's opinion on selling design/theme via in-app purchases. Are you interested in buying different design knowing that the app is fully functional?

One idea is to make it look transparent by adding background images.

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of update recently. I'm currently doing my internship for three months in Lyon, France so I'm away from my desktop (wish me luck for that.) I have the code on the cloud but working on a 13 inch screen laptop is not the most ideal. Just want to give you a few updates on a few things that I'm hoping to deliver for the next big update.

As you might already know, I'm planning to monetize the app by introducing advance features via in-app purchases. There's one idea to introduce themes since one might get bored with the plain background. On top of that, I'm bringing extra settings for the live tiles which include pinning more than one city. Also a feature that certain users want is location tracking.

Along with that, I'm working on localizing Skyline. With the Multilanguage toolkit, I'm confident with the translation of major languages like French, Spanish, Portugese and German. I've posted the strings that need to be translated here if you want to help correct or add new languages. I'm hoping for a Chinese translation as I get a lot of requests for that.
    Skyline Translations - Get Localization

Only certain languages are supported by OpenWeatherMap. Those who aren't need further translations. The community has helped me translate fully into Finnish, Arabic and Persian but only Finnish is supported by the service.
As you can see, the persian version is not fully translated. So as a start, I'll be adding only 6 languages for the next update.

I won't be having a lot of time to work on this hence it's not going to be updated very soon. Plus Ramadan is a bit tougher this year because the day is longer, I'm working and moving around a lot. Hopefully you still enjoy the app and be patient for the next update.

Planning to bring in more languages support for Skyline. Here are screenshots of the app in Turkish, Italian, Simplified Chinese and Russian. One thing that I'm worried about is searching for city names in local language. If you are using Skyline and uses a language with different city names than in English, I'd like to know if this bothers you. Thank you again to everyone who helped translate the strings.

    Like the app, well done.
I'd like to see two improvements:
    1. Ability to choose one of the sides of live tile as permanent (next 24 hours looks good).
    2. Ability to choose Bing image of the day as background for lockscreen

    That's all. Would be perfect.
