Tubecast : a complete Youtube client compatible with Chromecast and DLNA (UPnP)

Hi everybody !

just in case you missed it, the new 1.7 version is out :



The new change log is :

- Dark Theme
- Pin channels to start page
- "Me" tab appears in first position - if the user is logged - (can be changed in the settings)
- Video thumbnail in the media player
- Improve images speed loading
- Improve DLNA implementation
- Run under lock works also with casting local files
- Bug fixes (Network error, video pages loading, transparent tile, subscription feed)
- Debug mode for helping developer to fix DLNA/Chromecast errors

I identified the bug of @Darko Mingovsk, it will be fixed in the coming days.
@JohnDoeWII : the hot temperature bug is fixed since few versions
@Fred Osei : it should work, please try again, and send me a support mail (via the app) if it's not working, I could investigate !

Maybe your WIFI network is restricted to some URL (do you use Proxy ?), we could find why if you write to me, I have implemented a debug mode in the app, but you have to write to me before.

It's already (well) implemented on Android and iOS (and Chrome) so I guess no need for other platforms ?

I don't know what's going on
But this is d only app through which I can stream YouTube videos
But streaming is really slow
ND yes that 3100 error is gone now
Any changes from ur side,
But videos r buffering like hell in my decent internet connection

Edit: Only some videos r working
Others just load for some tym ND gives 3100 error
Some just loads endlessly

It doesn't work on my Xbox 360, says that video isn't supported or something like that. Could someone else check if it works on their 360? Our is it just me?

I fixed the bug on Xbox 360. It Will be published in a new version 1.8 in the beginning of the week (with new features and other dlna bug fixes)

Great! Waiting for an update!
Upd.: Streaming to Xbox works great now, unfortunately, the app lags when the channel has many videos and especially while playing several videos. It also lacks such sorting options as "showing oldest first" and "z-a" and such functions as "next" and "previous". Still the app deserves five stars and is obviously a must-have for everyone with wp8 and dlna-compatible devices.

- Debug mode more verbose

@Lanex, As we use the Youtube official API so we can't sort as we would and can't have a workaround. Yes the app can lag when there is many many video. ListBox Virtualization is a hard work, Microsoft does not provide very good API (Tubecast works also with WP7, it's painfull to share the same code). I'd like to make a test with a real user who own a XBOX 360, please send me a private message (our by contact me with the support button in the app).
