App It! allows you to convert mobile websites to apps. Technically App It! will pin web sites to start screen creating the feeling of apps. This way you'll be able to access your favorite services that dont have yet a Windows Phone app with one tap and in fullscreen.
    Features:
    - Pin/Unpin any web site as an app to your start screen
    - Add and pin your favorite sites for free
    - Fully customize your list of web sites/apps
    - Large list of default web sites (Facebook, Airbnb, Engadget, Pinterest, WPCentral, Gmail, Google+, IKEA, Dropbox, Bwin, bet365, Gizmodo, Goal.com, SofaScore.com, Dailymotion, Wkipedia, Vimeo, Amazon, Reddit, Tumblr, Bloomberg, New York Times, VK, Youtube, etc).
    - Added default web sites gallery

Search Windows Store for "twistedlab" :)

    Kind regards,
    Ernesto

I believe the point of this app is to also assign an icon or tile to it rather than the crappy preview that all mobiles OSes do.

It's a bit like Webapps from what I can tell.

Yeah not many programmers know what to do. Try with a general newspaper or something. You'll get a nice screenshot of the whole page. :P

I have installed App It! and it works great for most websites, allowing me to pin to start and choose a suitable icon for the Start screen. However, I encountered several websites that cannot be accessed by App It! even though I have no problem accessing these sites using other browsers. Anyone else is familiar with this app or have encountered this problem?

It's pretty simple, all you need is just issue request like this and save icon (try to play with parameter domain_url) : https://www.google.com/s2/favicons?d...l=facebook.com
