No idea, probably either stop working until you update, or make no difference as FB now owns your *** whenever you use WA anyway

What makes you so sure? Do you have lots of secrets that afraid FB will DETECT? Well, up to you. I'm not going to stop using Whatsapp just because FB bought it. I'm more concern about if the app will be better on Windows Phone after FB buys it. Since FB is not even making a good official app for Windows Phone, I'm afraid Windows Phone will lost another big title on its platform or updates will just stop and FB focusing on iOS and Android only.

Hello
I have windows phone 8, if I receive a lot of message on whatsApp (more than 25 or 30) the view will be on the last message, not on the first. so I have to scroll up into unread messages

No, I don't have secrets, I have sense, I'm one of the lucky few who is not brainwashed by the facebook virus, and don't want a despicable company snooping on everything I do and informing the world in the process

My life is my life, not every Tom, **** and Harrys life from down the street because they happen to live near me and are also on facebook

And why do the facebook fanbois always think you have something to hide if you don't like FB? - How about you give out a front door key to everyone in your town and tell them to come watch you eat, sleep, sh1t ?

Sorry, but I enjoy my privacy, if I want someone to know something about me, I`ll tell them to their face, not to facebook.

Facebook destroyed real life socialising, and recreated it virtually, I still prefer it old school, you know, going out, seeing people in the real world.

Forums have their place, for specific things, not for things you should be doing for real.

Hmm having a Facebook account doesn't stop you from meeting people face to face. Moreover, you are the person who's in control of what information you want to share. You don't need to post a nude photo of yourself and share it with everyone really.

No, you're not the person in control of what Facebook shares, if you believe that, you are seriously misinformed.

Where do you think they get the money from to buy things like WA for $16-19bn ? From point and click ads? lol

And yes FB does stop people from meeting face to face, a massive amount.

Apart from the severely hidden settings for your known about sharing, FB continues to share without your consent to advertising companies and the like, I don't use FB for all these reasons, why would I be complaining about privacy if I was purposely uploading nude photos? That statement makes no sense at all.

Anyway, not getting into an argument about scumbook, WhatsApp wants to sell themselves to the worst company on the planet, then so be it, but I won't be part of it, account deleted, app removed.

With the acquisition of WA by FB the only question is what will WP users gain out of it, if at all. As rightly pointed by chmun77 FB has left us WP users to the whims and fancy of MS as far as FB App is concerned. Now with this acquisition will the same approach be reflected for WA users on WP. If yes it will be terrifying at least for me as I have almost given up on SMS to WA. Even though WA on WP has limitations like video sharing, no custom ringtone etc. still it serves my purpose of communication to great extent.
Just hope that the FB people will at least not make lives of WP users miserable with their indifferent approach towards WP community.

My subscription was up for renewal on march 11 but now all of a sudden my subscription expires on exactly the same date a year later in 2015... And believe me i have no cards(credit or debit) to renew it myself... Anyone else who has their status prolonged... Without paying ... What gives?

Whatsapp is a big player in the smart phone industry. If at all Facebook stops development of Whatsapp for WP, Microsoft will take it over from there and keep the app alive. If Whatsapp dies out on WP Microsoft would definitely get severely impacted, so they will make sure all goes well.
