6Snap Phone Verification

I can't get a return text message when I try to verify my phone number on 6snap. I enter it as x-xxx-xxx-xxxx. Any ideas of what I can do to get this work?

I have the same problem too. I think the only way he can help is to give him my phone number but twitter is not the right place to do so. There is no email info in the 6snap app btw.

If a US #, don't use the Country code, just use 123-123-1234 format. If not US, try the full number with country code but do not use dashes and see if that works.

I just tried that again but still did not work. Hope Rudy can check what happened from his server log.

I have tried every variation of the number and it says it will send a text and I never receive it. Thanks for messaging Rudy. Hopefully he has a fix soon.

I had this same problem and I was finally able to get a verification message by entering my number in this format: +x xxx-xxx-xxxx

I got it to work by entering the international area code of +44 rather than 0. The app wouldnt let me enter a + symbol however so i typed it into bing search, copied and paste it into 6snap and it worked.

that worked for me, too. However, when I put a friend's name in (assume that 6snap takes it automatically from my address book???) it comes up with "(friend's name) is private ..." ???

... but still can't get it to send messages to someone from my address book, 6 snap says the person is 'private'. In fact EVERYONE in my address book comes up with that 'private' statement
