it apparently is an alternative camera app that has a minimalstic interface and filters built in. Nothing, really, that other apps wont already do on Windows Phone.

I want to know it too. Unable to understand it from their web site

It's a photography application for iOS (and now Android) that lets you use high-quality filters to edit your photos. It also features an extensive array of editing tools, all of which have earned accolades on iOS and now Android. VSCO as a company also creates filters and other presets for Lightroom and Aperture.

You can search for #vsco or #vscocam on Instagram and see what I'm talking about. Some of the best - and most popular - Instagram photographers (I'm talking about real photographers here, not amateurs), use VSCO Cam, among others, to edit their photos.

Really? Can you show us one app on Windows Phone whose quality of filters even approaches VSCO Cam's? I'd really like to see one.

Since I am a #nofilter guy I can't comment on the quality of the filters, but a few apps that come to mind:

camera360
Camera Effects
Fhotoroom
OneShot
ProShot

Any app use Nokia Imaging SDK can produce high quality filters and I really doubt that VSCO can do something better than Nokia

I agree but , VSCO's filters are unique . Most developers just apply the same filters over and over ie: negative , mirror , red , blue , green or black and white

Not one of those comes even close to VSCO Cam.

There's a reason people want to have VSCO Cam on Windows Phone, yet no one cares to have Fhotoroom or OneShot on iOS.

You highly doubt it? There's no reason to doubt it, it's a fact, but either way, opinions are just that - opinions.

Let me know when reputable websites call Nokia's filters "the future of mobile photography".

You know Flappy Bird is very popular, but is it the best game we can get? What is good for iOS not always good for WP. :)
I see nothing interesting in VSCO. Just filters, basic editing tools, nothing more.

Also I really do not like post processing of photos. You should make photo without editing it, only in this way you can show what you sow. Editing photo makes it artificial , not real. Another problem is - art is an art. Some people think Black Square of Malevich is supper art, I think, it is just black square :) So when someone says VSCO has beautiful filters, I say, nothing extraordinary.

VSCO Filters are on another level. These guys aren't just working on the Mobile side of things. They offer legitimate plugins for professional grade photographers as well. I pretty much used them exclusively on Android. In fact, it is one of the very few apps that I would like to see come over. That and Magisto... as far as I know, there is nothing available on WP that even comes close to what Magisto does for video. If you know of something, let me know!

Well if you don't like filters, period, then why even call out VSCO specifically? It's like saying I hate the Lumia 1520 because I don't like smartphones.
