Hello everyone, as a new Windows Phone user I'm looking to customize my Nokia Icon(929) like my old Galaxy S3. I downloaded Flashlight-X but this app closes when you switch to another app. I used the flashlight app on my Galaxy along with the camera to see in places I couldn't reach with my eyes. Which flashlight app for Windows phone can stay on after I load the camera app?

Try Flashlight XT, I think that has this feature.

    And welcome to WPCentral!

Flashlight XT is great, and doesn't need any extra permissions.

Flashlight XT is really good, but it doesn't keep the light on when I open another app. Or, am I missing something?

I'll keep it anyway since I really like the screenlight mode. Good job!

Thanks everyone. I tried the mentioned app but no go. Might have something to do with how Windows handles open apps.

But the Xbox One Smartglass app has the ability to stay open as long as it is open. Then again, that app is made by Microsoft, so...

I opened up my Music app and that stayed on even after I opened the browser. Hopeful the developer can make changes to Flashlight X to stay on.
