Free app goes paid - fail open or fail closed?

Hey,

So I've been wondering this for a while. Say I have an app on my phone that is currently free. Later, the dev makes the app paid. Do I get to keep the full app, or do I get switched to a trial, or am I just asked outright to pay?

if he doesnt publish it as a new app the store remember that your account already bought this app. Its the same with the paided apps that get free for just a day or over the weekend. if you downloaded them u can remove them and install them anytime u like to again, also if they are sold again.
