I'v just started using wp8 for the last week (coming from android). generally i'm happy from the wp os but there is afew things that are missing, one of them is the lack of official apps from the big companies, google, yahoo. i understand perfectly that google and microsoft are enemies but it is hard to find any yahoo official apps ?
when i use email for example i dont like the idea that third party developers will get passwords to personal data.

It costs a lot to develop a mobile application. And when the market share is a vast majority of Android and iOS devices, it makes sense to dump that development money into those, rather into the #3 with a very small percentage of users.
This is also why smaller things like local banks and stores only have iOS and Android apps. For a couple years, a mobile app was basically only iOS, it wasn't until Android got critical mass that they dumped development money into it.
